BJP and Congress campaigns are not attending to Delhi’s civic woes as they should.

The campaign for the Delhi assembly elections has switched to a higher gear with the serving AAP, BJP and Congress putting out candidate lists. By retaining a lion’s share of its sitting legislators, AAP has signalled that it is approaching these elections without fearing anti-incumbency. The confidence is a marked departure from 2015 when Arvind Kejriwal was making apology pleas for prematurely throwing in the towel on the previous occasion he got to govern. On its part BJP, in its first list of 57 candidates, has reposed faith in veterans and municipal corporators belying expectations that newcomers would corner most seats.
