Given this, it is time to begin planning for global access to the vaccine at an affordable price. To avoid a repeat of the fiasco over PPEs, masks and testing kits, be it in terms of access and supply, quality and reliability, and cost, the world needs to plan ahead. The G20 leaders stressed on the need to ensure that countries and populations would not be left behind in their ability to access the vaccine.
