Sri Lanka bombings highlight the need for international cooperation on terror.

As Sri Lanka tries to pick up the pieces after the horrific Easter Sunday serial bombings that claimed more than 350 lives and injured another 500, it is now becoming clear that the terror attack could have been prevented. Sri Lankan security authorities had information regarding an impending terror strike but failed to act in time to avert it. In fact, India had tipped off Sri Lanka about possible terror plots and had even pointed to the National Thawheed Jamaat – that is now blamed for carrying out the bombings with support from the Islamic State transnational terror group.
