1. PM dedicates INS Kalvari to the nation

Congratulating the people of India on this occasion, the Prime Minister described INS Kalvari as a prime example of "Make in India." He commended all those involved in its manufacture. He described the submarine as an excellent illustration of the fast growing strategic partnership between India and France. He said the INS Kalvari will add even more strength to the Indian Navy.

He said the ocean's innate potential adds economic muscle to our national development. That is why, he added, India is well aware of the challenges such as sea-borne terrorism, piracy, and drug trafficking, that not just India, but other nations in the region also have to face. He said India is playing a key role in tackling these challenges.

He said India believes that the world is one family, and is fulfilling its global responsibilities. India has played the role of "first responder" for its partner countries, in times of crisis, he added. He said the human face of Indian diplomacy and Indian security establishment is our speciality. He said a strong and capable India has a vital role to play for humanity. He said countries of the world wish to walk with India on the path of peace and stability.

2. Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India issues Guidelines for Technical Standards for Core Services

Based on recommendations of the Technical Committee, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has laid down the Technical Standards for the performance of Core Services for the following matters under Regulation 13 of the IBBI (Information Utilities) Regulations, 2017:

i) standard terms of service;

ii) registration of users;

iii) unique identifier for each record and each user;

iv) submission of information;

v) identification and verification of persons;

vi) authentication of information;

vii) verification of information;

viii) data integrity;

ix) consent framework for providing access to information to third parties;

x) security of the system;

xi) security of information;

xii) risk management framework;

xiii) preservation of information; and

xiv) purging of information.

3. India and Morocco sign MoU for enhanced cooperation in healthcare

The main areas of cooperation include the following:

• Non-communicable diseases, including child cardiovascular diseases and cancer;
• Drug Regulation and Pharmaceutical quality control;
• Communicable Diseases;
• Maternal, child and neonatal health;
• Hospital twinning for exchange of good practices and
• Training in administration and management of health services and Hospitals

Another MoU was signed between Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry and Marrakech Mohamed VI University Hospital, Morocco in the presence of both the Ministers. Under this MoU both the Institutes agreed to collaborate in the field of telemedicine. The focus areas under this MoU will be Tele-Health Care, Health Education, technical support in controlling epidemics and support in rendering second opinion on various complicated cases.

4. Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot inaugurates ‘CSR Summit for Pioneering Cochlear Implant Surgery’

Cochlear Implant is an electronic device having two parts (External and Internal). Internal part is surgically implanted in the skull (Cochlear) by ENT surgeons. Post-operative rehabilitation is undertaken by Audiologist and speech language pathologist and special educator of Hearing Impaired. Parent have very important role in stimulating child to learn speech and language at home and maintain the external part (Processor). Details process of home bound training is also available on website: www.cochlearimplant.in.

Children with hearing loss as young as 12 months old and within 5 years of age can be eligible for a cochlear implant under ADIP scheme as per the criteria of ADIP Scheme of Govt. of India.

The cochlear implant technology may help children who:

• Have severe to profound hearing loss in both ears
• Receive little or no benefit from hearing aids
• No Development Delay or Mental Retardation

5. NITI Aayog launches ATL Community Day

The Atal Tinkering Lab Community Drive Initiative is aimed at maximizing the impact of Atal Tinkering Labs by extending innovation to children in the community who do not have access to formal educational institutions.

The purpose of this initiative is to provide these children with the same educational tools as the students in Atal Tinkering Labs to enable them to become problem solvers. The NGOs participating in these interactions include organizations working with disabled children, street and working children, and girls from the weaker sections of society.
