1. Singapore to set up Skill Center in Northeast: Dr Jitendra SinghThe Government of Singapore will set up a Skill Center at Guwahati which will cater to the entire North-Eastern region.
The Singapore delegation also expressed its preference to engage with India in the area of Space Technology for collaboration in “peaceful uses of Outer Space.
The Singapore delegation also wanted to seek the experience and expertise of India's Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions to bring about value addition in public administration and governance in Singapore.
2. Prime Minister has a dream of doubling farmers’ income by 2022 and to make his dream come true, we have launched several schemes: Shri Radha Mohan Singh
Shri Radha Mohan Singh said at the Rabi Conference, crop wise target is fixed and arrangement of supplies to different states is decided in consultation with the officials of various state governments.
Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana, Soil Health Card scheme, Neem Coated Urea and e-NAM are some of the major schemes which have been launched to increase production and farmers’ income.
The total production of rice in the country is estimated at 110.15 million tonnes in 2016-17. This is 4.73 million tonnes more than the average rice output of 105.42 million tonnes in the last five years.
Production of wheat is also estimated at 98.38 million tonnes, a record. Wheat production in 2016-17 is 6.09 million tonnes more than 92.29 million tonnes during 2016.

The Indian steel sector has grown rapidly over the past few years and presently it is the third largest steel producer globally, contributing to about 2% of the country's GDP. India has also crossed 100 MT mark for production for sale.
India is seen as a “bright spot” for the global steel production growth on account of the government’s push to augment capacity and demand from the construction, automotive and infrastructure sectors.
The policy also aims at increasing supply of domestic coking coal to cut dependence on imports by half and production of 300 million tonnes by 2030.

Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi said that after the resounding success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme, the WCD Ministry is now targeting malnutrition and eliminate it by 2022.
Smt Maneka Gandhi said that we must provide 1000 calories to women and 600 calories to children under ICDS. The focus of the entire programme should be to administer nutrition rather than feeding beneficiaries by giving "Nutrient Dense Food".
Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi also gave away awards to three States i.e. Chattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat for substantial reduction in stunting during the ten year period between NFHS-3 and NFHS-4.
She also released a book "Forest Lanterns" containing essays on solutions to improve nutrition among children in tribal areas.
