1. Vigilance Awareness Week to be observed from October 27, 2020 till November 2, 2020 under the theme, “Vigilant India Prosperous India”.

2. The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and external affairs minister Jay Shankar will hold 2+2 dialogue with their United States counter parts mark as per and Mike pompeo. The dialogue is to be held between October 26 2020 and October 27 2020.

3. European Union Environment Ministers signed an agreement in Luxembourg on 23rd October 2020. The deal has created EU’s 2050 net-zero emissions target legally binding on the states.

4. The Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs is to launch two centres of Excellence for the tribal welfare. The centres are to be launched in collaboration between Art of Living and Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

5. Every year the World Day for Audio Visual Heritage is celebrated on October 27 by UNESCO to increase the awareness of significance of the audio visual documents.

6. The National Action Plan for Vulture Conservation, 2020-25 was recently approved by National Board for Wild life. The plan has suggested that new veterinary non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs be tested on vultures before they are commercially released.

7. The National Board for Wildlife recently approved an action plan for vulture conservation, 2020-20-25. Under the new National Action Plan for Vulture Conservation, five new conservation centres are to be established in five different state.

8. On October 26, 2020, the Government of India informed the supreme court that it will soon legislate a permanent body to handle the air pollution problems in Delhi. The body is mainly focus on pollution caused due to stubble burning.

9. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA has found the presence of water on the sun lit surface of the Moon. The presence of water was found by the spacecraft SOFIA. Earlier, ISRO Chandrayaan 1 confirmed the presence of water in the shadowed places of moon. Thus, NASA has taken the discovery of water on moon by India to a step forward.

10. On October 26, 2020, the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) launched 100 new forest fresh organic products. These products are to be available to 125 tribes in India.
