The Election Commission of India in a letter on Tuesday asked X (previously known as Twitter) to remove an animated cartoon video shared by Karnataka unit of BJP.

Election Commission's letter to X said that, ‘the post by BJP Karnataka is violative of extant legal framework. Therefore, 'X' is directed to take down the post immediately. This is issued with the approval of the competent authority.’
