Some continue, individually and collectively, to disregard their responsibility. The responsibility of ensuring that the 21-day lockdown, now in its 11th day, actually helps India flatten the curve also lies with local and state governments. The central government too has its role, to ensure that the window of opportunity created through the lockdown is utilised to step up India’s capacity to deal with this disease. Other stakeholders such as industry too have a role in ensuring the country’s preparedness. All stakeholders need to step up and fulfil their obligations and responsibilities.
