Total number of valid votes was 12,52,817. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Pashupati Nath Singh won and became MP from this seat. He secured total 8,27,234 votes.
In the Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency, the BJP candidate is seeking a Congress leader’s blessing and vice-versa, well almost, as dissatisfaction grows within both camps. While BJP candidate Dulu Mahato touched the feet of former Congress MP Dadai Dubey, Congress candidate Anupama Singh was seen touching the feet of East Singhbhum MLA Saryu Roy, a former BJP leader.
