The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the government must act to ensure credit access for these diverse financial intermediaries, the non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), so as to prevent collapse of the small and medium enterprises and other entities that operate outside formal banking channels and rely on these NBFCs for credit.
