Now, following prohibition of trade with China’s telecom giant Huawei without the permission of the American government on national security grounds, Google has decided to stop supporting Huawei phones with its Android operating system, and Google apps, including its Play Store. Android is American property, not some chunk of the global commons, as the world had come to believe.
