Describe your travel experience in buses, metro or trains.

Sentence starters

  • “I travel by … every day.…”
  • “The worst part is……”
  • “It would be better if……”

Sample answer (read it aloud, then make it yours)

I travel by bus every day, and it is cheap: the fare is only ten rupees. The problem is that buses are not punctual, and in rush hour there is no place to stand. The metro is much better: clean, fast and on time. Trains are good for long journeys; my family goes to Delhi by train every year. If buses were more reliable, more people would leave their bikes at home, and the roads would be less crowded.

  2. Is public transport good in your city?
  3. Do you prefer bus, metro or train?
  4. Describe a memorable train journey.
