About: The root word ”Vir” used in many English words, is derived from Latin word “Virus” which means (literally) “poison”. The “venom” sense is always reflected from the derived words with this root.

Virus (noun): An infective agent that typically consists of a nucleic acid molecule in a protein coat, is too small to be seen by light microscopy, and is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host.
