Rajasthan Royals host Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur at 7:30 pm on Monday. RR have been struggling in the absence of regular captain Sanju Samson. They have now suffered five defeats in a row. The team can now reach only 14 points and is most likely out of the tournament.

Individuals have been inconsistent with the top order not firing in most of the matches. Yashasvi Jaiswal has the lone bright spot in batting, while youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi, stand-in captain Riyan Parag, Nitish Rana and Dhruv Jurel have all had their ups and downs and have struggled to close out matches. Shimron Hetmyer has also been disappointing.

The bowling has been overly dependent on Jofra Archer, while Indian bowlers including Sandeep Sharma and Tushar Deshpande have been expensive and have not given consitstent breakthroughs. Sri Lankan duo of Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga have also been underwhelming.

GT have had a contrasting tournament and have lost just two out of eight matches and are placed second on the table. A win today will take them to the top of the table. The top order has been in top form as the trio of Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler have scored most of the runs. Sherfane Rutherford has been the glue in the middle order, while Rahul Tewtia has produced a couple of camoes.

The bowling has been a strength for GT this year. Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj have delivered crucial breakthroughs, while spinners Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan have controlled the middle overs.
