In an incident being reported from Hawaii, a body was found in the wheel well of a United Airlines flight upon its arrival to Hawaii’s Maui on Christmas Eve.

The body was discovered on a Boeing 787-10 aircraft on flight UA202 which landed in Hawaii at its scheduled time, according to flight tracking website flightaware.

United Airlines, in a statement to CNN on Wednesday said, “Upon arrival at Kahului airport in Maui on Tuesday, a body was found in the wheel well of one of the main landing gears on a United aircraft.”

The airline further added that the wheel was accessible only from the outside of the aircraft and “at this time, it is not clear how or when the person accessed the wheel well”.
